I think it is pitiful that the North Dakota administration is caving to public pressure to change its name. Fighting Sioux is no more disrespectful than the Fighting Irish or what Florida State has for a name. I am sure that neither of those schools would ever consider changing its name. In fact at the Frozen Four this year it was nice to see the old jerseys from the University of Miami-Ohio when they were called the Redskins.
TriSports.com sponsored athlete, SkratchLabs Ambassador/Taste Agent, Ironman Triathlete (completed Arizona in 2013). Pilot by trade, not by choice. Huge Fighting Sioux hockey fan, and fan of (almost all) Minnesota sports teams. I love being married to T, love the Colorado scene, both Denver the entire state. You'll often find the two of us in Vegas when we're not training, or at a symphonic metal concert
