Matt Frattin is back

Matt Frattin has been reinstated by the University of North Dakota and is back on the team.

The article can be read here.

Some might call this a desperation move...I tend to agree...

I have yet to see anyone call this a "desperation move" and quite frankly that makes no sense. Yes Frats messed up, but he is one heck of a hockey player and this move does nothing but help this team. This team has shown the ability to succeed without him, adding him only helps

Since losing Genoway the team has gone 2-5-2. I hardly call that success. Furthermore, the loss of Darcy at forward only compounds the issues. And I have talked to a couple people that see it as desperation by the Sioux team...

this is not a desperation move. this has been in discussions for a while now, like before Genoway got hurt. Do you think the Sioux coaching staff didn't have regular contact with Matt? The Sioux are 9-6-2. We had a bit of a slide at the end here, but overall, it wasn't a bad start to the season and something to build on. We are far from desperate. We're not Michigan here.

I am not sure how you can call this a desperation move? I would be a smart hockey move by the coach. message has been sent to player for bad conduct.

Team wins gets talented forward back. I went to the Sioux Booster before the game against USA and Hakstol doesnt' sound like a guy that is desperate, if anything he sound under control and focused on the second half.

Yes I would say they have been successful this year. Every single loss they have this season has been by one goal and in the 5 they lost since Chay went out came by St. Cloud, in a game that we dominated at home, then by, in my opinion, the best team in the nation Denver on their ice, a high powered Duluth team and Wisconsin. We play an extremely tough schedule in the best conference in college hockey. We are firmly in place in the pairwise after a tough schedule in the first half.

Frattin will do nothing but add some much needed scoring punch for the second half. Hardly a desperate move to add last years third leading scorer back into the mix...just a smart one.
